What's the matter with Bipasha Basu? You try asking aything related to sex and from this onetime oomph queen and she goes all pale.
Don't believe us, ask Kalpana Lajmi, who've directed the award winning movies like 'Rudaali', 'Darmiyan' and 'Daman'.
Kalpana is currently working on her latest film called, 'The Postman and the Prostitute' which overtly explores the sexual encounters of the two.
Karan Nath plays the male lead in the film.
After mulling over several names, Lajmi zeroed on Bips to play the sex-worker but the Bong bombshell immediately grew cold feet after listening to the script and denied the offer claiming that the role isn't 'exciting' enough.
"I am not interested in the film because the character doesn't really excite me," says Basu and insists, "While I have no problems being known as a sex symbol, I do sometimes wish it were possible to break out of the image trap. It's not as if I have any objection to acting opposite Karan; I just don't want to be a prostitute."
Karan is however unperturbed by Basu's denial and claims, "I'm not fussy about who plays the hooker. Till I'm getting the publicity out of every controversy so it doesn't bother me."
According to him, there are hardly any intimate moments in the film and the postman and the prostitute don't even touch each other, let alone smooch or get into bed.
